Mississauga Community Guide

April 3rd, 2020

The sixth-most populous city in Canada, Mississauga is home to 28 exciting neighborhoods. It lies west of Toronto, a location that has led to its surge in population. This proximity has also brought with it a massive economic growth.  Mississauga is perhaps best known as the city housing Canada’s busiest airport – the Toronto Pearson International Airport. It also serves as the corporate headquarters for many of Canada’s biggest businesses. Like Toronto, it enjoys a diverse immigrant population to the tune of about 57.1%.

The Mississauga Lifestyle

The city of Mississauga is home to over 700,000 people. Although it once enjoyed a rapid growth rate, its growth rate slowed to a moderate 1.1% between 2011 and 2016. Still, the city remains attractive due to the high quality of life enjoyed by residents, a booming business sector, and a highly multi-cultural society. Despite the slower growth rate at the moment, developers continue to invest in the thriving city to make room for even more growth.
